The Intercession and Warfare class, taught by Mrs. Heather Eschenbaum, is a must-take if you ever aspire to be a prayer warrior or move forward in God. Throughout this class, you will build a stronger relationship with God and will be pushed into powerful prayer. By the end of the quarter you will not recognize yourself because you will have changed so much!
When you think about the Old Testament, what do you think of? Many people seem to think that the Old Testament is outdated, boring, and not for today. I had similar feelings before I came to WRSM, but after taking Pastor Bryan’s “Old Testament Survey” class, my eyes have been opened to the Bible.
The Spring Quarter of school was an outstanding quarter! We learned a lot of life applicable skills and concepts. Our Biblical Customs and Cultures class has taken application to another level! We learned about the Mediterranean culture and how that culture operated, which helps put the bible into context when you know more about that culture.
In J.D. King’s Revival History class, we study the Great Awakening periods that have occurred in the Americas. Students delve into the world of the colonies to read accounts of John Wesley and George Whitefield. By studying the 2nd Great Awakening, we learn how revival preachers and camp meetings tamed the rugged frontier, and hear stories of the healing and holiness revivals, learning from the lives of 21st century prophets and revivalists. Our curriculum doesn’t just skim the surface......
We have all heard someone say “skills to pay the bills.” While that is fine, I've learned in my Life Skills class with Pastor James Koppang that we have a limitless God. Just paying the bills is a limited mentality and we owe it to the grace that’s been given to us to start thinking big!
There are two incredibly valuable resources that we all have: time and money. In this class I have learned some practical and highly efficient ways to get a grip on these assets through budgeting and time-...
Genesis is an incredible book of beginnings that reveals so much about God, His plan for creation and how He uses people to bring forth that plan. Pastor Tom Trout teaches a 2-part Genesis class and being in this class has given me more understanding and revelation of the book of Genesis and of who God is. I’ve learned many things this quarter that have transformed my thinking and changed me, so I wanted to share one of those things with you.
When I started the "Anointing and Works of the Holy Spirit" class with Pastor Kathy, I was excited, but still wasn’t sure what to expect. I have always known about the Holy Spirit, but was only taught that He enabled us to speak in tongues.
I started my Spiritual Development class not knowing what to expect. Excited to begin my second quarter, I was a little intimidated by a class dedicated to teaching students how to discipline themselves. Growing up, discipline usually meant consequences, and I was not looking forward to a spanking from God! But when Pastor Diana walked into the room, I felt life and courage and strength come with her, and I knew that I wasn't about to get in trouble... I was about to be empowered.
"What we must learn from church history is that we don’t learn from church history."
Often heard from Pastor Mark in his Church History class, this saying is so true because if we had learned anything from church history, Christianity would not be in the fallen state that it is in today. Pastor Mark has been teaching us to learn from the past so we do not follow in the same mistakes that others have fallen into.
I will never read the Bible the same way again!!
After just one “Theology of Luke” class with Pastor Steve and Mrs. Darden, my thinking was completely turned inside out. I have read the bible front to back and I thought I had a decent grasp of what it said and the meanings behind it. Man was I ever wrong.
