First Year Courses:
Revival Fundamentals

Fall 2011

  • Effective Writing
    A course studying and developing the various types of practical writing used in ministries today. This course will cover the unique aspects of writing for any Christian ministry whether a church or para-church organization. Students will learn to write letters of recommendation, testimonials, and articles that could be used in Christian magazines or web sites. The course will also cover sentence structure, punctuation, and how to state facts in an exciting and effective way.   • Revival Training
    This course will conduct a study of Biblical precedents and principles used at the Smithton Outpouring/World Revival Church to pastor and maintain spiritual revival, prophetic prayer, and ministry. Students will be provided with a clear understanding of foundational Biblical ministry principles and practices used in revival at World Revival Church. Revival Training will equip students to apply this Biblical understanding in their own lives and ministry through practical application in services. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Developing a Lifestyle of Faith
    This course examines how to develop a lifestyle of faith through the Word of God, and includes practical ministry principles of faith, confession, healing, and abundance for spirit, soul and body. It emphasizes the scriptural foundations of healing, particularly those used in The House of Hope and Healing. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Theology of Revival & Reformation
    A survey of the principles and foundations of revival and reformation, with a special emphasis on practical ministry is the objective of this course. Full description and class excerpts.

Winter 2011-2012

  • Church History
    Utilizing original documents, charts, video and insightful class discussions, students will be introduced to the expansive history of Western Church History. Exploring significant personalities, movements and turning points in Western Christendom, students will develop a broader understanding of their faith and ministry.   • Spiritual Development/Life Skills
    The purpose of this class is to help bring forth spiritual discipline, development and Godly character in our students, as well as to help them learn to respond to God as He moves and speaks in their lives. Students will be studying and practicing the following: prayer and fasting, study and meditation, journaling, spiritual formation, relationships, and character building. Also a practical course designed to teach the student how to balance a checkbook, make and maintain a budget, prepare a resume, succeed at job interviews, and manage time carefully.   • Anointing and Works of the Holy Spirit
    This course examines Biblically the person, ministry, and anointing of the Holy Spirit and His role in restoration and revival of the church today. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Theology of Luke
    This class examines the background, teaching and application of Jesus’ ministry depicted in the Lukean account of the Gospels. In addition to textual examination, a special emphasis will be placed upon the “Kingdom of God” and Jesus as a revival model. Full description and class excerpts.

Spring 2012

  • History of Revival
    Emphasizing a Biblical, historical and experiential formation, this multifaceted course surveys significant principles and personalities in American revival history. Students will not only be introduced to momentous Spiritual developments in the history of the United States, they will also be given tools to understand and embrace the contemporary move of God that is advancing around the world.   • Intercession & Warfare
    The Intercession and Warfare class will equip students with understanding of scriptural foundations of intercession and warfare. This class will train students to pray and command with power in order to advance the Kingdom of God. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Old Testament Survey
    This course will not only examine the history and authorship of each book, but also the cultural, historical and spiritual effects the Bible has had on the world of today. Each book of the Old Testament will receive a general summary. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Biblical Customs and Cultures
    A fascinating and eye opening study of what made the culture in Jesus’ day tick: group honor, positive and negative shame, challenge and response, insults, loyalty and limited goods, the evil eye, patrons and clients, and how these directly affected one’s attitude and actions. Summer 2012

  • Bible Doctrines
    This course is a historical and scriptural survey of the major Biblical doctrines emphasizing their historical, theological and practical application to life and ministry of the student. Full description and class excerpts.
  • New Testament Survey
    This course will not only examine the history and authorship of each book, but also the cultural, historical and spiritual effects the Bible has had on the world of today. Each book of the New Testament will receive a general summary. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Inspired Speech
    The Inspired Speech class enables students to expand their speaking abilities. They learn how to convey spiritual truths with authority and power. As they develop passion, they learn to impart revelation with freedom and boldness. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Kingdom and Covenants
    Exploring two of the fundamental motifs in the Bible, this course seeks to develop a nuanced understanding of Biblical purpose and mission. Drawing from the metaphors of the Kingdom of God and the Covenantal relationship God has established with His people, students will be challenged to rethink their understanding of the Bible and ministerial practice. Second Year Courses:
Practical Ministry

Fall 2011

  • Ministry to Youth and Children
    This class is designed to prepare students to powerfully and effectively minister the Kingdom of God to children from age 0 to 18. Students will learn not only how to minister to them, but how to minister through them. To train youth and children to minister the Kingdom of God no matter their age is the objective of this course. The dynamic and unique characteristics of World Revival Church’s powerful children’s programs will be taught. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Personal Evangelism and Discipleship
    This class will focus on training and equipping the student in all aspects of evangelism. Special attention will be given to the practical application of evangelism and discipleship in the life of the individual and the church as a whole. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Minor Prophets
    This will be a general overview of all 12 of the minor prophets (Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi) Emphasis will be placed on the authors, audience and practical applications of the fulfillment of the prophecies for our day.   • Pauline Epistles III
    Part three of four separate courses that can either be taken individually or as a series of studies in the writings and theology expressed by the apostle Paul as he wrote and worked to establish the people and churches of his day. The goal of these classes is to fully familiarize the student with the Biblical texts, the author, his theology, his environment of writing, and issues being addressed in the church. Winter 2011-2012

  • Old Testament Theology
    A Biblical study of God's revelation of Himself and His redemptive plan for man, beginning with the first redemptive promise to Adam and Eve, then proceeding through the whole of the Old Testament. Also considered is the unifying theme of God’s promise that runs throughout the Old Testament and the roles of various individuals in its plan and its aim at ultimate fulfillment. This study looks carefully at the ways of God as seen in the lives of the patriarchs, Moses, the children of Israel, the giving of the Law and the working of faith and grace in God’s revelation and redemptive work throughout the totality of the canon of Old Testament scriptures.   • Pastoral Essentials/Hermeneutics
    This class covers everything from the Biblical role of the pastor to what the modern day “church” expects of pastors. Students will learn the pastor's responsibilities in weddings, funerals, counseling, water baptisms, communion, baby dedications and everything in between. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Exodus
    This class is an in-depth study of the history of the people of Israel from their journey out of slavery in Egypt to the building of the tabernacle of God. We will study the redemptive acts of God whereby Israel was delivered from Egypt and established as a chosen nation in covenant with almighty God.   • Pauline Epistles IV

  • Church Marketing
    A course dedicated to the practical aspects of pastoring a growing ministry. We cover church growth, community outreach, local church management, and many other topics to help you understand how to run, and grow, a successful ministry. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Church Marketing Lab
    Not only do you learn how to run, and grow, a successful ministry in the "Church Marketing" course, but you will get a chance to put it in action in this 'Lab'. You'll do actual projects within the community to promote World Revival Church and World Revival School of Ministry. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Gospel of Mark
    An in-depth study of the fast paced power filled message of Christ and His Kingdom. Students will delve into exposing the secrets of the Kingdom in search of the truth through insightful instruction and eye opening class discussion. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Dominion Mandate and Kingdom Life
    A Biblical study of the theological expression of Dominion, both God’s, and that of his earthly representative, man. The study covers the concept of dominion and all that entails, the expression of dominion in daily Christian living, and the expected results and effects in the earth. Covenant relationship is also considered as it applies to the mandate and its activation in the lives of believers. Summer 2012

  • Gospel and Epistles of John
    A study delving into the fourth Gospel and the purpose behind the Epistles of John. What was the purpose of John sitting down to record another account of Jesus' ministry, and how did John deal with church issues in his three Epistles?     Year after year, this class is a student favorite. It's an in-depth look into the "End Times" prophecies found in the books of Revelation and Daniel.   • Acts
    A study about the work of the Holy Spirit through the people of God, from the birth of the church at Pentecost to the spread of the gospel to the ends of the earth.   • Major Prophets
    In this course, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations and Ezekiel will be studied with an in-depth look at author, background, message and importance of each book. This course will look at each books historical and prophetic contribution to the church. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Genesis II
    A biblical study of the book of Genesis (continuation of Genesis I). The creation, the beginnings of man, faith in God, God’s plan of redemption for man, as well as the faith of the patriarchs are all explored and considered in light of God’s revelation and covenant with man.     Taking students on a unique journey of praxis, this multifaceted course explores the biblical and historical foundations of divine healing.   • Elements of Leading Worship
    This course is designed to prepare the student to lead worship, including technical principles, musical preparedness, repertoire selection, and spiritual and theological preparation. Full description and class excerpts.

Spring 2013

  • Song of the Lord
    The purpose of this class is to study and develop an understanding, appreciation and skill in the singing of the Psalms and the Song of the Lord in worship, in the current modern day church environment. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Five Fold Ministry
    A biblical study of the Ephesians 4:11 ministries of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. The study of these biblical ministry gifts to the church encompasses their individual characteristics, abilities, responsibilities, and how they relate to each other and to the local church today.   • Cross Cultural Ministries
    This class will focus on training and equipping the student in all aspects of evangelism.   • Local Church Administration
    Spiritually practical insight and examples into the “do’s” and “don’ts” of everyday administration and accountability in leadership will be examined in this course. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Homiletics
    The student learns both principles and skills of interpreting scripture in terms of historical, social, and literary environments, as well as the process of applying the meaning to today’s needs. The history of hermeneutics is also covered. Full description and class excerpts.
  • Leadership Development
    This class is designed to release the leader within each student. God has called each of us to expand His Kingdom, which cannot be accomplished without established leadership capabilities.   • Biblical Counseling
    A course study in Christian counseling and general trends. This course studies the technique of Nouthetic counseling, which is best described as Biblical counseling. Nouthetic counseling is a method of confrontational counsel using the truth of the Word of God as it applies to both spiritual and human issues of life and relationships. This course explores major secular psychological concepts and techniques that generally are aimed at coping, and compares them to biblical truth and application aimed at change and healing.
