Equipped to carry the Kingdom of God

I was in graduate school in West Virginia when God called me to Kansas City, Missouri to join World Revival Church. As I prepared to move, I also felt compelled to attend World Revival School of Ministry. Many of the people around me thought it was rash to leave my university education uncompleted to attend ministry school, but I had reached the point where something had to change. Although I was pursuing a degree in early childhood education, I was already getting burnt out working with children. The methods I was being taught didn’t work for most of “my” kids, but I didn’t know another way to do it. I was also involved in children’s ministry, and I was frustrated not knowing how to instill my passion into their hearts.

One of my first classes at World Revival School of Ministry was Ministry to Youth and Children. From the first day, I was in awe—here was exactly what I had been looking for and had decided must not exist! I found there is a way to teach and train children that really reaches them and gives them security so they can thrive and learn to respond to God. Very quickly, I landed a job at a local church preschool and began putting what I learned into practice.

A year and a half later, I have completed several semesters at World Revival School of Ministry, as well as my university education. I am equipped to carry the kingdom of God into the lives of children and their families in a way that never could have happened if I had stayed in my hometown. In addition, through the different ministry areas at World Revival Church in which I have served as a student, my character has been refined, I have developed a confidence I never had before, and my faith is limitless. I never imagined my life could be this good; and it’s only getting better!
