Smithton, Missouri, a town of 532, became a lightning rod of spiritual power March 24, 1996, when the Holy Spirit blew into the sanctuary of Smithton Community Church, striking Pastor Steve Gray and the entire congregation in unprecedented power.
World Revival Church (formerly known as the Smithton Outpouring) has hosted over 300,000 people from the far corners of the world.
The Outpouring has been visited by Time Magazine and Charisma Magazine and reported on by Newsweek, Christianity Today, The 700 Club, TBN's Praise the Lord, Richard Roberts', Something Good Today, and 100 Huntley Street.
Pastor Steve and Kathy Gray and the congregation of the Smithton Outpouring travelled to area churches in Kansas City from March to June, 2000, to hold a series of meetings called, Cover the City in Glory.
From June 30, 2000, to January 5, 2001, the newly renamed World Revival Church met in a tent during the hottest summer and coldest winter in Kansas City's recorded history. The meetings were marked by an increase in healings and signs and wonders.
The ministry has grown into the World Revival Church, the World Revival Network, the World Revival Church Academy and the World Revival School of Ministry.
After outgrowing its facilities, the Smithton Outpouring relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, on 63 beautiful acres at 9900 View High Drive, Exit 5, north off I-470.
